Historic Preservation Workshop

Glenn Cook and other members of the Alaska State Historical Records Advisory Board hosted a day-long review of procedures for preserving and protecting historic artifacts, photographs, records, archives and properties

Historic Doll Workshop

Renowned doll maker Mary Ellen Frank and Sitka doll maker Mary Anne Navitsky provided a half-day, hands-on session on the doll-making process.

Opening Banquet

Featured performances by local Russian and Tlingit Dancers, a review of the Conference exhibits, and modeling of Siberian Native dress.

Closing Picnic

Featured Traditional Foods from 1800s Sitka, in a great outdoor setting at Halibut Point Recreation Area.

Battle Cruise

Joined Kiks.adi clan leaders, Russian scholars and renowned Russian America historians Nora and Richard Dauenhauer on a boat cruise that retraced the events of the battles of 1802 and 1804.

Redoubt Bay Cruise

Joined historians and archeologists Dave McMahan and Ty Dilliplane for a trip down to historic Goddard and Ozeroski Redoubt.
